I've been really busy the last couple of days. Put a bunch of tealights in a circle and ready to go.
Wearing my navy flapper dress from Topshop that I bought for my friend's party but very sadly it didn't arrive in time and a black scarf of the mother's. :)

Holidaying at home
Retro/vintage beachside Brighton. Except at home. (Is there a beach at Brighton? If not, maybe I meant Blackpool. I don't know, I don't think I've ever been to either.)
Messed around with loads of different effects because the orignial was really boring, and ended up with this cartoony luminousity. I can't quite decide if I love it or hate it.
Anyway, wearing a top from Hollister, high-waisted denim shorts that my mom made from some of her old jeans over green (but they look blue) cycling shorts which are also hers, an old leopard print scarf from somewhere, a necklace from Miss Selfridge and a bracelet my friends C and L got me from Spain. I'm also wearing a heart necklace in my hair but I'd be suprised if you can see it. It's what looks like a smudge over my far eyebrow. I'm also (not) wearing Converse-y trainers by Rocketdog.
I love ice-lollies. They're healthy too! Healthy-ish anyway.. they're basically flavoured water - how bad can they be? :)

Oh J, all these things that I have done
Ode to Karl
Oh Karl how I salute you and your chicness. You once said that fashion is supposed to depict fantasy, “dreams & illusion”. You give interviews such as this. You truly are a genius.
You say things that sound ridiculous to those who don't understand, and I'm sure you're very aware of it.
Don't you just love his delicious sense of humour?
Karl you are an icon. Never will I forget you.
:)
PS. Check out fakekarl too
PPS. If any of you uncultered plebs don't know who Karl is, he's head designer and creative director for Chanel, Fendi and his own brand, Karl Lagerfeld (whose designs often look very much like him..).

Please don't bother trying to find her - she's not there

Completely unedited. How great is my dad's camera for a point-and-shoot?! I can't believe I didn't think of using it before. Next step: try the mother's.
Wearing a shirt and dress (part of a salvar kameez, well a leggings kameez) my mother got me from India, a leopard scarf from god knows where that I've had since I was like 8 and heels from Primark.
Finally discovered how to wear thin scarves! Watched the first part of Alfie in History today. Tried to do my hair in the 'Flip' but my fringe (yes I have a fringe but I never wear it down because it's not right) is too long now. And the flicky was annoying me so I curled the ends under. I love the sixties. :)

We're all going on a sumer holiday
Woo, it's the time of year for the resort/cruise collections. I don't really like summer fashion all that much because I think autumn is so much more exciting (have you SEEN Mcqueen's AW10? It is mindblowing.). Anyway, to be honest I don't have much to say about the resort collections. They're nice, but nothing extremely inspiring. You can look them up for yourself if you're that interested.
I saw the Jaleo (got the urge to call them Jalepeñ o) flamenco company perform a few days ago. It was amazing. Now I want to be in sunkissed Seville, dancing under the shade of a tree in the dry, hilly country. (I know Seville probably isn't like that and that flamenco probably doesn't even come from Seville, but let me dream.)
Here are some of my favourite pictures, mostly from random websites that I've collected over the past few months. I'll credit the ones I know where they're from.

The Cottingley Fairies - the first four photographs
From one of my favourite websites ever, Fashion Gone Rogue. Really did not want to say that, it's one of my favourite secrets. Hopefully no-one will read this.
Also from FGR

I miss you

Do you feel the seventies? It's time for flower power.
Alright so I've given into summer and floaty dresses. Actually I don't like this dress (worn as a a skirt) but I wanted something long and thin and I think and hope the denim shirt takes away some of the annoying tackiness. Actually, I love tacky, but it has to be the right sort of tacky.
Anyway, I'm wearing a dress from River Island, boater hat from Claire's, handmade leather shoes from a Rio street market, and a denim shirt from Topshop. I absolutely love this shirt - I think it's my favourite item of clothing. It's perfect - loose, long, light but thick enough, goes with everything and so soft. I could live in it.
Eugh, so much revision and coursework that I really should be doing. A demain. :)
