So one of my friends referred ti this as my "lesbian gardener outft" but I'm taking that as a compliment. I've spent the past week in borrowed clothes, I love swapping clothes with my friends and these boots are wonderful. I may invest in some myself. Also, spent the day wandering around random parts of the city including down the canals where the colours were absolutely beautiful. :)

This is one of a couple of photos I took in spring last year, (another one here) weird as I remember it being freezing cold and dark but oddly calming. Exactly what I'm dreaming of at the moment as my life is being very hectic. Thinking of the stillness of winter. :)

I rarely post pictures of what I wear in the evening, mostly because I'm in a rush, it's too dark etc etc but I re-found this dress which I bought for a 20's flapper-themed party and remembered the fun of twirling because the whole dress sways. :)

 I'd forgotten about this dress but I actually love it because it's so soft and slouchy, it has pockets (!!!) and of course because it's leopard print. Pretty good for a random impulse buy huh. With my beloved crazy childhood jacket that nobody except me appreciates. :)

Shiva Tandavam

Here's a shot of me performing a Shiva Tandavam dance in the Indian classical dance style of Bharatanatyam a couple of weeks ago. It's my favourite dance I've ever learnt because both the music (listen to the song on Youtube here) and the steps are so unique and powerful. Also, the costume is awesome - I get to dress as Shiva himself! :)

The slight chill in the air, the blueness of the sun, being awake for the sunrise, all this means winter's arriving. The season of scarves and gloves and boots and blankets yay. :)

14h à Paris

So last night me I and W went on a spontaneous overnight trip to Paris! And when I say overnight, I mean we were literally there for 14 hours, from 6pm til 8am. We went for La Nuit Blanche, an annual night of art exhibitions and instillations all over the city from 7pm - 7am. It's was I's first trip to Paris and it's been about 6 years since my last visit so it was an absolutely incredible night. I have to say getting my dress stuck in one of the elevators in the tube thing at the Centre Pompidou is a moment I'll definitely never forget! :)

Ps. The photo of us at the Eiffel Tower was taken at around 3am. You wouldn't think it from the photo but it was dark, long exposure is a wonderful thing!

I actually wore this with creepers and a granny coat but my new boots had arrived by the time I got home to take pictures. It's winter again so my love for ankle boots is totally justified and I feel this pair bridge the chilled-dressy problemo perfectly. :)

 This necklace goes surpringly well with Aztec print! This was by far the most popular band tee I saw most at Leeds, good choice people. I liked it so much I got it myself. :)
