We also stopped by Boston to visit some family friends. By this point I was museum-ed out so we just wandered around the pretty town centre. These photos were taken in the Boston Public Garden where of course, we had to go on the swan boats and stop by the carousel. :)

So after a week in New York City, we went to Washington DC, so I could visit where I was born and my country's capital for the first time since I was a baby. These photos were taken in the Smithsonian Zoo. :)

The day after my last exam, we flew to New York, the first time I've been here since I was a baby and we moved to England. I've been here for just over a day and so far it has been very different to what I expected... :)

I wore this yesterday and C "almost didn't notice how many shades of red" I was wearing... which is a bit weird considering, you know, red is a very bright colour. And she was wearing all black. This wasn't entirely planned but colour blocking actually makes me quite happy. :)

I was never really into the fancy bomber jackets trend because something about the combination of such a casual, heavy-duty shape and such delicate detailing didn't really work for me but my mom bought this jacket and I fell in love with the pattern (I think its butterflies and flowers) and purple is my favourite colour so I'm just gonna pretend this isn't very bomber-y shaped. Plus it this reminds me of my childhood sticker albums filled with glittery butterfly flowers. Sorry, did I say childhood? I still use and love those stickers! I'm also breaking pretty much every school dress code rule here but who cares; it's my penultimate day of ever being a student here. :)

I hadn't been able to wear nail varnish or rings for a couple of months because it was pointless when I was frantically painting everyday and taking rings off and losing them, so I'm enjoying the fact that I can now. And, after my last exam on Monday, I'll be able to wear rings big enough to not be able to write in, and not give a damn. :)

Ps. I'm sorry for being very slow at replying to comments recently, I've been scheduling posts and trying to avoid Blogger so I can actually do some revision, instead of spending all my time reading blogs which is what I normally do.

I love potted plants. We have so many around the house because my parents used to be keen gardener. They go beautifully with this plaid playsuit I borrowed from a friend; so well in fact, that I didn't even need to edit these photos. :)

It's really hot here. Maxis are somehow cooler than tiny little shorts and give me the opportunity to pretend I'm a sunlight angel instead of a student stuck indoors revising. The colours in these photos remind me so much of this post which I am shocked to realise were taken just over 3 years ago. In the same park actually. I still have and wear those clothes and my hair, although it has been through two drastic cuts and some blonde dip dye, looks almost the same. Crazy to think about. :)

Impromptu photoshoots are often the best. As I was eating dinner, I looked up to see the last rays of the sun beaming in through the window so I bolted down the rest of my food and literally ran out of the door to catch the very last of the golden hour. And what luck, the sun filtering through the trees was exaclty in the right position and everything just fell into place. :)

Contrary to what my photos might suggest, I'm not very outdoors-y, but the past few days we've had such beautiful weather that I've been biking, running and sunning around - and not only to avoid revision. Today I also made friends with these two little cuties. If every day is like this, summer is going to be heaven. :)





Ps. You can probably tell that I got my lens back, repaired and roaring to go. I'm a happy girl!
