Indelible purity

Pictures from Bjørg. Most definately my favourite jewellery shop/site ever.

OHMIFU-WOW. Cannot wait to start making shiz like this. Especially love the test tube pendants, crystal rings and ribcage bracelet/cuff (funny that I was already planning one of those but am just waiting to get more white/silver paint). As soon as I can get the materials, there will be an immense frenzy; I can tell. :)

Ps. Thank you to my new follower :))

Pretty little things

Can you tell I'm preparing for spring? Y'know, with the colours and all? No? ...Well I'm feeling industrial-but warm, with a bix of retro-total-glamour and turkish-greek-cafe-on-a-sunny-cobled-street thrown in. And a random autumn (or warm-coloured-spring since autumn is now over) owl. While the above pictures have a lot of grey, it's warm grey and that makes all the difference.

Lip ring from Primark, pointy ring from Afflecks, cross from men's necklace from (I think) Primark, watchface from M&S (I think) watch, metal skeleton from earring from Claire's, everything else made or found and stuck together by me. The 6th and 7th photos are of stuff that I will probably make into necklaces/rings etc but haven't got round to yet. I like my jewellery to evolve: I make something, then a couple of weeks later I will get bored and take it apart to make smoething else, or add something to it, or wear it a completely different way, eg. a ring on a necklace or in my hair. I think of jewellery (and by extension clothes too, but they're harder) as wearable, changeable art.

And two more charm bracelets I madea couple of weeks ago (top for L, bottom for myself). It gets pretty boring making such a simple thing over and over again. Variety is the spice of life. :)

Squiffy

A bunch of pics taken with a disposable, way back before October, which remind me why I love disposables. For some reason they scanned all dark and purpley, but I fixed that. The artful skewiff-ness is just my incompetence at putting a photo on the scanner straight. Ones of me taken by A, the rest by me. :)

La jeune

Rings from Affleck's, Primark and made by me, necklace made by me, shirt from H&M, culottes from River Island and heels from Primark. Couldn't decide what to wear so I fell back on my favourite basics - shirt, skirt/shorts, rings and red lipstick. :)

How amazing are I's DM's?! I quite want another pair but I can't decide which ones...

R has the same ones, but in pink. TBH, I prefer I's: they're a lovely greeny-bluey-grey colour. Also love her fingerless leather gloves which she hacked up herself.

Recent photos. :)

Disco squares

Yesterday I and some friends went to Liverpool to "get culture" from the Tate Liverpool and the Walker Gallery. The best part was definately this multicoloured floor thing that said "Please dance". So we did. Of course.

Wearing my favourite old Topshop jeans, mom's shirt, denim jacket made by my mom years ago, DM's, selfmade necklace and bracelet. :)
