father's jumper
Topshop pants
New Look wedges
mother's belt
keyring rings

I wore this a while ago and loved it. Definitely a silhouette I'm doing again. :)

Bands of ice

Urban Outfitters jumper
self-made earrring
random rings

I found a bunch of what I assume are mini key-rings (the wonders one can find in my house...) and they are perfectly sized for rings. Rumi so has it right, these are wonderfully non-distracting, unlike all other rings. And I didn't even see that post until after I started wearing these. That's how fashionable I am.

In other news, most people I know seem to have gotten in trouble with my school's dress code...this means detention on Monday will be fun (non-sarcastic). :)

Go Your Own Way

^Fleetwood Mac

Urban Outfitters jumper
Miss Selfridge dress
House of Holland tights
Zara boots

This was the last day before the dress code became even stricter...sigh. But yeah, my beautiful tights which were a Christmas present, I want to wear them every day because they're so fun (it took us almost a whole psychology lesson to work out that they spell "House of Holland"... diagonally downwards). Also, the cutest, snuggliest ballet jumper ever. :)

Spirits in the Material World

^The Police

Zara coat
Topshop skirt
M&S velvet bed hoodie
Doc Martens

Fighting the wind and rain in an outfit like death, and braving the cold and dark like a polar bear. :)

On the rocks

Topshop shirt
Topshop pants
Primark shoes (with half the straps cut off)

My sparkly pants aka my new favourites. I want to wear them every day and twinkle. This is also what one might call a casual cocktail pant, if one was a magazine dispensing fashion advice with a pechant for mildly amusing fashiony words. And with "a heel" (not two, that's so normal), and a splash of sun its a wonderful outfit. :)

Generation Z

a parent's sweater
vintage denim jacket
Topshop pants
fur collar cut off an old cape

My new headphones are my favouritest thing ever (share my joy and pretend it's a word). Obviously I now am 2 cool 4 skool. :)

Chasing birds

self-made collar
mother's shirt
old leggings
Topshop heels

Going for a cold spring feel here... Much as I adore this collar and the print on it (thank you Miu-Miu), I hardly ever wear it because it has a very annoying and unsightly fastening because I was too much of a fool to realise that instead of having to make the whole thing from scratch, I could have chopped off the collar of an old shirt... :)

Our Day Will Come

^Amy Winehouse

H&M shirt
Mother's waistcoat
Self-made necklace
Topshop earrings
Topshop pants
Topshop boots
Miss Selfridge jacket

My court jester outfit - velvet pants. How awesome. And my ankles were not at all chilly. I see myself wearing velvet a lot in the near future. :)

Far far away

Wearing a kameez and churidar bought in India, cuff from Manchester Christmas Markets and mehndi (henna).

India on the most peaceful and empty beach ever. :)

Thursday, 5 January 2012

Wearing gifted shorts and kurta and feeling at peace by the sea and the trees. :)

If you're lonely

^The Fratellis

Wearing kameez and churida that I can't remember where from, cuff from Christmas markets and I's converse. They're now rather well travelled. :)

Hello disaster

What's this, a new and improved look? And the first day of a new year? Ok, honestly a coincidence. But yeah, I've decided to do some shameless self-advertising...

Links to all three are on the side of the site. And I even co-ordinated profile pictures because I am that organised. Resolution time.
1. I will try (very hard!) to update the blog, the flickr, the LB and the twitter in synch regularly. At the very least, twice a week.
2. I will try to use twitter more than that. Hello twitter app.
3. I will respond to comments as soon as I see them.
4. I will comment more on blogs I read because I know just how lovely it is to get a comment. (...That's not intentional emotional blackmailing to you)
5. I will find time to do personal artistic projects.
Where there is a will there is a way. And if not, we're all gonna die in December anyway. :)
