The Dreaming

^ Kate Bush

Sorry for the photo overload, but I think I'm training up C to be a pretty good Colin (Rumi Neely's photographer). Wearing a vintage shirt, USA Pro skirt, H&M x Swedish Hasbeens shoes, boater from Claires, mom's bag and random bangles. Incidentally, the shoulder holes I cut in this shirt and the short skirt make for an almost perfect tanning outfit for me. Even though I hate the sun and all. :)

Bang Bang

^ Dalida

On what is probably the hottest day of the year (so far at least), I wake up feeling like a vampire. Hence the completely lack of summery-ness and an almost complete covering of skin (I still feel the same way about tanning/sun as I did last year).

Wearing an H&M jacket, Topshop snake print leggings, random leotard and Rocketdog shoes which absolutely killed my feet. I often want to wear this jacket but can't decide what to wear with it to not look prissy. But today I decided I was going to wear this leotard, discovered these leggings in a drawer, then threw on the first jacket to hand which was this one, and found it all went very well. :)

Ps. My hair looks different in every photo and I don't know what it looks like in real life. I think the closest to its colour is the second photo.

Pps. Sorry about the awful quality photos, I forgot to use the right lens. Then I managed to get sun flare which messed up the colours and just annoyed me.

This is my prayer,

that I'll die living just as free as my hair.

For the first time in my life, I am sporting a non-natural hair colour. It didn't turn out exactly as expected (I was going for more of an ombré) but I still like the change. I'm sure that it's a different colour in real life though... more photos needed, me thinks. :)

The ballet

These were taken at a zoo where I mostly honed my wildlife photography skills (I'll post some another day). Wearing a vintage jacket, dad's sweater, J's pink lace skirt, random blue tights, mom's bag from the Christmas markets, old umbrella and leopard flats because we had to wear something animal. I felt extremely much like a ballet dancer in training (and of course loved it). :)

Ps. Don't freak at next post's pictures.

Pocketful of Sunshine

I sometimes wonder if people see the same things I do - the beauty in the shape of a bridge or the way the light looks in a room. That's why when I ask my friends to take photos in a certain place I'm so fussy because I want them to capture what I see. Sometimes they do.

Wearing mom's blouse, Wet Seal jeans I cut up, vintage denim jacket (that I don't think I've posted before although I wear it constantly), random gold bracelet, leopard flats and bag from the Christmas markets.

It's summer which means expeditions to random places, ridiculously unkempt hair, eventful English weather and completely weather-inappropriate clothes. :)

Jcing

Wearing jeans and a kurta from India, Zara boots, Topshop belt, gifted cuff, L's necklace (which I am obsessed with and no religious connotations please), and scarf I've had for years. Felt ectremely light and this kurta was the first pastel thing I saw. I'm also having cravings for mint green since I have a lovely soft fleece blanket but, as of yet, I have no clothes in that shade. :)

Naturalistic

Having too much fun editing the most random of photos. Here I'm wearing my dad's old tshirt from Hawai'i, mom's old skirt that I cut up, my most favourite tights ever from Miss Selfridge and my trusty DM's. When I cut skirt I was on a cutting binge and forgot to measure it on myself before chopping it up... ended up shorter than I planned but that's not exactly a bad thing. :)

Ice cream

Just a quick post with a pretty boring outfit. I feel like I've been abandoning the blog lately but today my summer has offcially begun so I'll be posting much more regularly (and catching up with all the blogs I haven't had time to read!). :)

Wearing a vintage tshirt which I'm sure has become one of my favourite go-to comfy things that goes with everything and shorts that were a present (I think from my cousin but can't remember).

A stupidly over-exposed picture but I find my pose really funny because I took it by accident.

How cute is this umbrella!? I found it when digging around at the back of the shoe cupboard - it must have been mine when I was a kid. Now officially obsessed with it and re-claiming it. And I have a reason for carrying it ... it was raining heavily yesterday okay. :)

Ps. I don't actually like ice cream very much. But ice lollies are the definition of summer. I'm eating one right now. :)

Neon bitchin'

Before I create my feathered neon headpiece for my first ever festival (so excited, I've been thinking about outfits for weeks - if not months), I have to learn everything I've never wanted to know about the Cold War. So to tide me over until next week, I've done a little research.

I'm planning something in between the Bitching and Junkfood Inca piece (3rd photo) and Eliza Dolittle's decor (4th photo) which is also by Bitching and Junkfood. I love this brand. They have a great name and FYI, they also custom designed her shorts.

Also, because I love braids (and Johnny Depp), I shall attatch random stringy things with beads, like Captain Jack above. :)

PS. None of the photos are mine. Especially the the awesome painting.

Final Frontier

I'm absolutely obsessed with Sea of Bees jewelry, especially their Lux Frontier Collection. And extra-especially their lookbook, shot by Crista Leonard which captures a beautifully dreamy and bohemian life. But the heavy metal triangles in the bigger necklaces give the perfect sci-fi edge. Perfection. I need to own one of these pieces.

Kesar-Pista

No face, I can barely keep my eyes open. The sun makes me tired.

Vintage t-shirt and leather skirt with H&M necklace. I love tiedye but sometimes it's just a bit bright, so this is a lovely calm-coloured version. And rollowed sleeves are one of the little details that just make a look.

And my mom bought me this incredible bracelet from Warehouse. So much inspiration, shame I can't mould metal. :)

Ps. Kesar-Pista is a flavour of ice creams etc in India.
