Things I want

(That I actually might get.)

1. Fur coat (Ebay)
2. Over-the-knee socks (Asos definately has them but not sure where else)
3. Cream knitted cape (H&M)
4. Navy contrast trim coat cape (Asos)
5. Maroon cord shorts (UO)
6. Black/tan leather top (Next)
7. Black/white chanel-esque jacket (H&M)
8. Tapestry bag (UO)
9. Aviator hat (Topshop but not in store yet, grrrr)
10. Robot brooch (Topshop). Have I told you that I'm obsessed with robots? Well I am. I love the Terminator films, I-Robot (the film), Self Machine by I Blame Coco and I'm currently reading Isaac Asimov's Robot series.
11. Grey duck scarf (Topshop)
12. Full length denim dungarees/overalls. I swear I have developed a need for these in like the last 10 minutes, all due to this picture which a friend showed me (it's from a blog but I don't know which one).

Plus many other things vintage. :)

Riding

Wearing my mom's (now mine) jacket from Topshop which is actually some sort of plaid but you can't tell, leggings from H&M, shirt from India, leather gloves from Primark and DM's. I really want leather gloves in a yellow but I can't decide whether lemon or bright yellow would be better..

I like the bow on this jacket but it's really stiff, sad times. It really feels like a cross between something Victorian and a riding jacket, especially with leather gloves. Did the Victorians have riding jackets? I think they did. I couldn't decide what to wear with it, but I just had to wear it because I went on a bike ride today. (Bike ride, horse ride, same thing. I don't ride horses. The first and only time I did, I was 5ish and the horse wouldn't stop when I wanted it to.) Leather pants and/or tall boots would have been perfect but the only tall boots I have are yeti boots. Just wait until I am inspired by Chanel A/W! :)

Hanging on the Telephone

^ Blondie

I know there isn't a phone in sight but it does seem to me like I'm waiting for a call or something. Wearing my mom's silk blouse, camel skirt, adorable brooch from Topshop, earrings that I forgot to photograph 'cause I was in a rush and silver Kurt Geiger mary jane heels.

The skirt is too big for me so I'd pinned it but my mom made me take the pin out because she said it looked too messy, which is why it looks a wierd shape in the third picture (I was holding it in in the first). Also it's very crumpled because I never iron things if I can get away with it.

I really want to wear this skirt with a denim shirt because I love this shape and colour with denim blue but my denim shirt is pale so I don't know if it will go.. The alternative is a denim A-line skirt with a camel blouse/shirt but I don't have either of them. I have a normal colour denim jacket but it's too small to pretend to be a shirt and I want to paint it anyway..

The good news is my mom spent yesterday cleaning out her closet so she gave me loads of stuff, yay. Not that I didn't treat her closet as an extention of mine anyway. I think I'm going to have a clear out of mine tomorow - I get rid of the stuff that doesn't fit me, I get more space for new stuff, I feel good for donating and I get to have a browse in the charity shops. It's a win-win plan! :)

Graphics and Gaga

I do love taking pictures while dressed wierd in the middle of a kiddie playground.

Let me explain. My friend J was taking pictures of me, C (who's in the photo with me) and H for her graphics project. Part of it was the 7 deadly sins and I was Wrath. I was also dressed in a newspaper dress and fishnets (the coat is covering that up since the dress was tiiiiny) for 'fashion is rubbish'. Not quite sure how that fits in..

Me as Wrath. Wearing J's dress, a garter with a mini gun and holster from Amazon that I got for a 20's themed party (C's actually), heels from Primark and facepaint for make-up.

Me for 'fashion is rubbish'. I took the oppurtunity of 'rubbishness' to do some really bad dance moves, but I quite like the second one. It reminds me of my favourite part of Gaga's Alejandro video (picture below). Actually, the first pose is Gaga inspired too.

I couldn't find a picture of the same move, it was hard enough finding this one (from Google).

Topshop love

My Princess Coat.

I'm not sure if I actually will get an aviator jacket, I haven't found an amazing one that's actually afforadable, plus everyoneeee is talking about them and I don't really want to get something everyone else has.

A little longer, and this coat would a great Victorian dress/cloak/cover-up thing. It is definately growing on me.

K's and I's Hat.

I LOVE fur coats. With that and my obsession with leather, I'm such a bad vegan. But mother said I could get a faux fur coat so I'm a happy bad vegan. Plus I could never wear a real fur coat, I wouldn't be able to touch it.

All Topshop except the white neo-prene dress which is from River Island, tights, DM's, vintage leather brown skirt (mine). Although it may seem that I spend a lot of time in Topshop, I don't actually have a lot from there.

And I just found this picture of me and C. We're DM buddies. :)

Recent expeditions

Had a picnic in the park with some of the girls.

(Me and L) I'm a cool kid, right? Those aren't my sunglasses - I didn't even know I had them on. Must have randomly stolen them from my friend E and put them on.

In my defence, I had just been on three very spinny things in a row.

Wearing a tshirt my dad got me from Ozland (Australia in my speak), skirt that I have had since I was like 8, mom's belt, mom's leopard cardi from Wet Seal, leopard flats from an unknown shop and a sruchie made by my grandma as a bracelet.

I have more pictures but they're on my dad's laptop so I'll put them up later, when I have them.

Went to Alton Towers, a theme park, with this lot (top: S, R, bottom: C, me, A).

This was like the only photo where everyone was smiling (and not soaked to the skin), even though R and S at the top can hardly be seen.

Pretty good skillz if I say so myself. (Yeah, I took it.)

Happy as we look here, we did actually have fun. This was our 'house' on the train.

Wearing a blouse of my mom's, my favourite and really old skinnys from Topshop, leopard print scarf that I've had for years and years and jacket of my mother's. And at one point, A's leather jacket because the water rides soaked me to the skin.

I admit it - I'm obsessed with leopard print. Especially with bright red or pink. Actually, just berry shades with tan shades. :)

The Obvious, Child

^ Paul Simon

Today I walked down a road in town that I am sure I have been on before because it is right next to the station and my dad's old office building, but C pointed out this massive curved wall with ivy on it that I had never seen before in my life. I am a rather unobservant person; I tend to get impressions and the big picture instead of the details. But it was so beautiful that we had to take pictures there.

Wearing my mom's trousers from Zara, my mom's sweater, my mom's belt, my sleeveless blouse from River Island, my flats from a shoe shop I found on a wander in some village, my watch (whose strap has been broken for ages but I recently 'repaired' by using an elastic band, and now have to remember to use it again). My mom loves these trousers so I've never worn them before but I figured as she's not in the country, what she doesn't know won't hurt me. And I was the one who liked them then showed them to her because they weren't in my size, so I think I am totally allowed to wear them.

My bag is from Fabindia and it's absolutely gorgeous. It's silk with a big metal decoration and I love it to bits. I've been trying to use it every day since I got it but because it's an unusual shape, it's not very practical. I hate practicality.

I have no idea why there is one random yellow leaf next to my foot. I thought about changing the colour, then decided I liked it. :)

Edit: Just noticed I have this close-up of the blouse I was wearing.
