I really love how this outfit looks and everything somehow works together even though every piece is a different colour and pattern. I feel like a mysterious jungle club kid. Also wearing a new Illustrated People crop top, which has the coolest face print. I looooove drawing faces and I love wearing artworks so what could be better? Not much, eh. :)

Scary Monsters, Super Freaks

jeans from India
Gap denim jacket
fluffy bag from Claire's Accessories

I got the cutest little fluffy monster bag the other day; it's meant to be a tablet case but it's a surprisingly spacious handbag. I can match it with my fluffy scarves in winter! In fact I still have some fur left… could make a little set of monsters! To go with the fluffy theme, I also dug out this pink gilet which I distinctly remember buying in America, when I must have been 10 or so. It doesn't even do up anymore but I still love it. :)

Today I took a road trip to the seaside with some friends. Today is also the 4th birthday of my blog. Happy Birthday Lala Land! :)

A cute pastel/white themed outfit for Easter Day. And it's not just the lens effect that makes these photos so dramatic; it was also very windy! :)

I have some inherent bias against stretchy fabric, I don't know why but I have so far refused to make anything stretchy. But weirdly enough, it's all I want to wear right now. Brightly coloured and patterned jersey in "sportswear-influenced pieces", I'm sure Vogue would say. I ran into my old teacher on the street while wearing this, and she commented that only I would wear so many clashing patterns at once. Yeeeah! :)

K's Birkenstocks

Excuse the ghostly/angry facial expressions, and I'm really pleased with how these photos turned out. They portray my exact mood at the moment! And also a variation on the summer day pyjama look - including some PVC because it's pretty comfy and also, you know, fashun. :)

I've downloaded about 10 photo-editing apps on my phone in the past week and they've inspired me to have more fun playing around with my "real" photos (ie. not just random selfies and insta snaps). Messing around with my fisheye lens converter doesn't hurt either. So here's me tryna catch the evening sun before it disappears behind the hedge. And am I wearing house pyjamas, you might ask? Yes, yes, I basically am, and they are wonderful. :)

Converted

As you may know (or more likely not), I love two things in a lens: a very large aperture and a very wide angle. According to my physicist father, it would be physically very difficult, if even possible, to make a lens with an aperture as big as 1.2 that was also as wide as 10mm. I say technology is always improving. Until the day my dream lens becomes a reality, I am happy to play around with my new 0.2x fisheye converter. On top of my standard lens, it produces classic circular fisheye photos, BUT on my 50mm baby at an aperture of f1.4: BEHOLD THE BEAUTY! That distortion is completely real; the only thing I photoshopped was the black and white. :)

Yesterday was my birthday, so obviously I went all out sparkly and princess-y. These earrings seem to match everything I wear at the moment which is great because now I just put them on by default. The day also involved unusual birthday activities such as vase smashing (accidentally) and plate shopping (unexpectedly). :)

The cherry blossom has now gone so pictures by the daffodils it is. I'm happy for spring because it's the best season to break out all my jackets! I think jackets are my favourite type of clothing, but skirts are quickly catching up… :)
