So here it is

School's over, finally! Perfectly aware of the awfulness of these photos - only the ones of me though. I wonder if that says something? I'm counting down the days to Christmas, not daring to even entertain the possibility of not recieving a new camera. (If I don't, my life will be shattered.)

Wearing a dress from Topshop, lace blouse from the Clothes Show Live last year and socks from Topshop. And in the top picture, some random (but actually very nice - they look like snow) brown and white tights, coat from Miss Selfridge and DM's. We have snow again, wooop. :)

Ps. Will reply to comments and yada later. I need to catch up on reading so many blogs!!

Dream Boat

I like warm tinted photos at the moment. Not too sure why as they look more summery, but I think I've been inspired by Camilla from Into the Fold.

This is what I wore yesterday, but with a different top. I asked L what to wear (because I like to know other peoples' opinions then ignore them) and she said I should try to be Swedish and "cool" (she's Swedish) by wearing denim hotpants, tights, a loose top and lots of heavy jewellery. Well I decided to cut up some jeans from India and wore them with tights 'cause I live in black tights because they're part of my uniform. I got stuck for a top and rifled through my wardrobe to find my kimono from a primary school production of The Mikado! So obviously, I wore it.

Als wearing top from Topshop (oh lol), belt from Topshop and my leopard flats which, yes, I am obsessed with. Just wearing them makes me feel like Kate Moss.

I love wearing this kimono, it's so floaty and long but still normal-ish with the denim. I think it would also work well with heels and a simple short/sheer panelled dress underneath .. watch this space. :)

Ps. Thank you to my new followerrrr :)

A guaranteed personality

^Ben Folds

Recently, I feel like I've been dressing more for how I look rather than how I feel which has lead me to be stumped which is quite depressing. But I feel like I've got my mojo back and that if I want to wear a swishy skirt, I will. Or if I want to wear a crazy blazer with massive shoulder pads, then I will, like I did today. It's my mom's and so is the silk blouse (don't know why she doesn't wear any of this stuff nowadays; it's fabulous). I think she actually bought the H&M leggings too and the belt is hers. The Claire's bag and the leopard flats however, are mine. :)

Ps. My mom says she bought this fabulous jacket for my auntie's wedding. It has a matching skirt ...

Pps. Obsessed with the 'tattoos' I drew on my wrists in French. Better pictures tomorow but here's a couple of one of them.

In love with upside down crosses (no religious connotations intended) since seeing this photo on a tumblr.

Campaign

This is L's Christmas present which I made a couple of days ago. D's, which is also a bracelet, is on the way too. But I wanted to photograph L's because I love the red and the gold together. I normally hate jewellery adverts so I though, if I wanted to sell this, what sort of campaign would I do? This is the (hopefully) elegant but slighty grungy result.

(Ignore the crap background, I suddenly got very inspired. But maybe it adds to the effect .. a normal home setting anyone?) Bracelet/ring thing made by me out of various chains and beads, jacket from H&M, some random lipstick I have for shows.

And here's a nice picture of a skeleton earring from Claire's. I seem to have a thing about photographing small shiny things at the moment ..

.. which reminds me of what I found in with all my old dolls houses (more on why I was looking through them later) ..

Sadly, very sadly, it's pretty big and most likely too big to put on a necklace. But trust me, I'll try! :)

Ps. Thank you to my new followerrr!!

Let it snow

More snowww! If we didn't have a day off school anyway, it would have been closed today. Fingers crossed that it's a snow day tomorow!

A's wearing his school uniform (fail) but wanted me to take and edit pictures of him and snow. I'm wearing my favourite oldest jeans from Topshop, black leotard, vintage shirt (it has brown suede elbow patches! It is, as C said, the exact shirt I would have made if I designed a flannel shirt..), mom's waistcoast, Miss Selfridge coat, dad's super wooly socks and DM's. And this beautiful pocket watch that I got at a Christmas market. Shame it's not so good at keeping time.

And some from last year. :)

Ps. The close up photos and the last two are form my phone. Not as bad a camera as I thought..
